Juanita Shields, 82, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Accordius Health. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Suttle and Eunice Leona Skipper Fortune. Juanita was a peach farmer.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Judy Morrow and husband Caleb; granddaughter, Jessica Michelle Morrow and fiance’ Cody Arrowood, sisters, Doris Fortune Lee, Shirley Fortune McIntosh and Barbara Fortune McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Herman Shields and a brother, Wayne Fortune.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Marie Graeper officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mortuary.
