Obituary for Lois Evelyn Dobbins (Henson)
Lois Evelyn Henson Dobbins, 78, of Ellenboro, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Atrium Cleveland. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Frances Wilkie Henson. Lois was a homemaker and a member of Harris First Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Robin E. Lewis, Jill L. Davis (Gary), Heather R. Greene (Robert); two sons, Leon Kevin Dobbins, Jamie S. Dobbins (Nicky); nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Henson and Ricky Henson, two sisters, Rita Parker and Kathy Hamrick. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Franklin Dobbins, son Jason R. Dobbins; two grandchildren, Austin Raines and Weston Splawn; brother, Donald Bruce Henson.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Harris First Baptist Church Cemetery, 127 Hogan Road, Forest City, NC 28043 with Rev. George Whitmire officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harris First Baptist Church.
