Lauren Rae Schrecengost Wheeler 71, of Rutherfordton passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills on July 7, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Clair Schrecengost and Beatrice Lottie Pritchitt Wolfcale. She was also preceeded in death by a sister Tammy Schrecengost. Lauren is survived by her son Paul Walker of Rutherfordton, a daughter, Shaunna Kirkoff of Mooresville, sister, Carrie Schrecengost and brothers, James Allen Schrecengost and Paul Wolfcale. Lauren also leaves behind three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Lauren was loved by her family and friends and will be missed. The family will have a private memorial service.
