Obituary for Juanita Rebecca Murphy (Flynn)
Juanita Rebecca Flynn Murphy, 91, of Winston Salem, formerly of Bills Creek, went home to be with her Lord on November 2, 2021. She was born September 24, 1930 to the late Roy S. Flynn Sr and Myrtle Searcy Flynn.
Juanita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was active with Bills Creek Baptist Church and Bills Creek Volunteer Fire Department. She loved the Lord and honored Him with her time, tithe and talents.
Juanita is survived by her children, Rebecca Murphy Robbins and husband Fred, Myra Murphy Mize and her late husband Stanley, and Denise Murphy Taylor and husband Timothy; two grandchildren, Travis Taylor and Nichole Taylor; sister Shirley Parrish and husband Wayne; brother in law Reed Murphy and wife Lois; sisters in law Betty Flynn, Hazel Mow, Wanda Murphy, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clifford B. Murphy.
Funeral services will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Bills Creek Baptist Church, 1475 Bills Creek Road, Lake Lure, NC with Reverend Eugene Sherrill and Reverend Darold Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
