Obituary for Jesse Boyd McEntire
Jesse Boyd McEntire, 86, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Lee and Rosa Lee Hardin McEntire. He was a retired body shop owner and an avid antique collector. He was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church. He also served eight years in the National Guard.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jerleen Arrowood McEntire; daughters, Renita Atchley (Dean), Alesia Ramsey (Monroe), Denise White (Roger); son, Terry McEntire; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Leonard McEntire and Ruben McEntire, and sister, Annie Arrowood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond McEntire and sister, Ronelle Tuttle.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Piney Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Stockton, Rev. Michael Brown, and Rev. Allen Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. McEntire will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
