Jeffrey Vincent Washington “Jeff”, age 60, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 while being cared for at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

A native of Rutherford County North Carolina, Jeff was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, attended Furman University and was a lifelong Pittsburg Steelers fan. His career as a one-on-one assistant spanned over a decade in the field of mental healthcare.

He is survived by his wife Sonya Jean Lawrence Washington; one son, Irvin Franklin Washington; two daughters, Brianne Washington and Bianca Washington; two grandchildren, Adalius Williams and Malaysia Lawton; one aunt, Beatrice Washington; a number of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Grahamtown Park in Forest City, NC.
