Obituary for Frederick Elmer Watt

Frederick Elmer Watt, 94, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Cranberry House Assisted Living in Newland, NC. Fred was a native of Boise, Idaho, but resided in and around Syracuse, NY most of his life. He was a WWII Navy veteran and served at Guadalcanal as a Motor Machinist’s Mate II. He retired from Syracuse & Oswego Bus Lines. He was an active volunteer in Cub Scouts and a Life Member of the Sons of Norway.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Marilyn Watt, his son, Leslie Dean Watt (Pam), his parents Wilber Warren Watt and Ada Ruth Watt, and two brothers and a sister.
Left to cherish his life, he is survived by his children, Earl (Marianne) Watt of Summerfield, Florida, Dale (Shirley) Watt of Cumming, Georgia, Janice (Mackay) Bryan of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; his six grandsons, Brad Watt, Josh Watt, Jamie Watt, Travis Bryan, Tyler Bryan and Andrew Watt; four granddaughters, Lisa Calkins, Melanie Outen, Bethany Watt and Iva Watt; thirteen greatgrandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Tully, New York.
