Condolence:
It was with great sadness that Linda and I heard of the passing of Mr. Coffey. The Rutherford County football community lost a true champion. Coach Coffey had ties to all three county schools at some point, I got to know coach when I was at Chase High. Many days he would walk a mail route and get out of his truck and go to coaching defensive backs and not miss a beat. He bought countless kids cleats, and gave numerous kids "weekend" spending money.
My life was made better because of my time with him. The lives of so many young men were improved because of him.
Eat a hot dog for me coach.

Condolence: I was so sorry to learn the passing of Mr. Coffey. Growing up in Spindale Mr.Coffey was always more than just a mail carrier, he was someone that you could count on seeing everyday,he was always friendly & always had a smile on his face. Mr.Coffey seen many of us grow up from small children to teenagers then to young adults, he was more like family. I will keep his family in my prayers!
