The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Coffey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

It was with great sadness that Linda and I heard of the passing of Mr. Coffey. The Rutherford County football community lost a true champion. Coach Coffey had ties to all three county schools at some point, I got to know coach when I was at Chase High. Many days he would walk a mail route and get out of his truck and go to coaching defensive backs and not miss a beat. He bought countless kids cleats, and gave numerous kids "weekend" spending money. My life was made better because of my time with him. The lives of so many young men were improved because of him. Eat a hot dog for me coach.
