Charles Frances McCabe
Charles Frances McCabe, age 53, husband of Shannon Crawford of 271 Missouri St. Spindale, NC passed away Tuesday at Rutherford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Charles was a native of Somerset, NJ and son of the late Baron and Barbara Wentworth Ruppe. Charles was an accomplished finish carpenter by trade. He loved live music, art and his friends.
In addition to his wife Shannon, he leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Midge McCabe Hopper (Jeff) of Rutherfordton, Sherri McCabe Sumner (John) of Pawleys Island, SC, brother Gary George McCabe Jr. (Kathy) of Rutherfordton; nieces and nephews Caitlin Wooton (Chet), Erica Layman (Matt), Heather McCabe, John “Nathan” Sumner, Marcus McCabe, Jordan Sumner and Ron McCabe; great niece Adalyn Murray; in laws Teresa Woodward (Jim) of Tennessee, Paula Crawford (Lynn) of Greensboro, David Crawford (Clara) of Rutherfordton, Deana Whiteside (Bobby) of Cave City, Ky, Dana Brandle (Michael) of Spindale; along with a number of other nieces , nephews and extended family.
A celebration of life for Charles will be held at Barley’s in Spindale beginning at 2 PM Friday.
Memorial donations are requested to be made to the Community Pet Center 861 Piney Ridge Rd Forest City, NC 28043.
