Charles Wendell Brooks, age 80, went home to be with his Lord on April 13th 2023. Charles was the son of the late David Earl Brooks and Mabel Louise Craft Brooks. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rhonda Gail Knowles Brooks. Children: Christina Louise McWhorter, and Lisa Ann Brooks; Grandchildren: Hannah-jean R. Brooks, Sarah E. McWhorter, Samuel W. McWhorter, Wendell D. McWhorter and Elijah Davis. Great Grandchildren: Jillian Jade Perez, Natalie M. McWhorter, Julie Anna McWhorter, Phelan Davis and Joshua Davis. Brother: William (Pat) Brooks of New Zealand. Charles was a Millwright and worked in many places across the Eastern United States. His talent and skills were used in construction of airports, bridges, and nuclear power plants. After retiring, Charles and Rhonda moved to Greenhill, NC and became involved in the local American Legion Chapter 74. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
