Charles Theodore Black, 79, of Spindale, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, February 10, 2023. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Bulo and Alpha Panther Black. Charles was self- employed in the auto parts industry. Charles was a member of 2nd Baptist Church and served in many capacities. At previous churches, Charles served as a deacon for many years. He also volunteered for the Spindale Fire Department for over forty years and was a member of Western Star Lodge 91 for over fifty years.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Brenda Davis Black; daughter Tonya Coffey and husband Tracy; son, Tim Black and wife Susan; grandchildren, Rachel Banks and husband Benjamin, Davis Coffey, Sam Black, and Charlie Black; sister, Kathleen Lewis. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters, Janette Runyn and Orene Wallace.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2nd Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center.
