Obituary for Catherine Lillie Ivey (Roberts)
Catherine Roberts Ivey, age 79, of Union Mills passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Fair Haven Forest City. Catherine was a native of Rutherford County; daughter of the late H. B. and Hallie Flynn Roberts and a retired textile employee. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her long-time friend BB Short.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Sheila Guffey (Dennis) of Union Mills, son Steven Williams (Darlene) of Inman, SC; brother Donald Roberts and sister Hattie Radford (Steve) of Forest City; Grandchildren Michael Goforth (Allison) of Gambrils, MD, Kyle Goforth (Katie) of Morganton, Jill Crowe (Jason) of Union Mills, Jessica Cooper (Bryan) of Cliffside, Scyler Loftis (Sean) of Spartanburg and Connor Williams (Brittany) of Inman; 16 Great Grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 1 PM Saturday at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with David Upton officiating. Music will be provided by Jesse Roberts. The family will greet friends following the service.
Hospice of the Carolina Foothills is the charity of choice.
