Carolyn ‘Joy’ Baker-Barbee of Spindale, North Carolina passed away at the age of 78 years old on July 18, 2022, with family by her side.
Joy was born on January 28, 1944, in Tallulah, Louisiana. She was a loving friend, mother, aunt, grand, great grand and great-great grandmother who always put family first. Joy loved spending time with her friends and family and was always ready for a hug and a joke. She was a devoted woman of faith who was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Forest City Ward.

She is survived by her son, James (JoAnna) Pontiff of Luther, OK, daughter, Tamara (Tony) Kindle of Rutherfordton, NC, and son - Ronnie (Fran) Barbee of Winkelman, AZ

A celebration of Joy’s life will be held on Friday, 29 July 2022 at 10:00 am, EST, at the Forest City Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 250 Mount Pleasant Church Road Forest City, NC 28043-5615.
