Blennie Heaslip
Blennie Heaslip (Bee), age 101, of Spindale, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 15, 2020. She was born to the late Dana and Blennie Woodcock and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Gertrude and Ted Roberts.
Blennie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and siblings Azel Woodcock, Roland Woodcock, Sarah Foster and Reva Harper.
Blennie is survived by her daughter, Gail Wisnoski (Richard) of Arizona; sons Richard Heaslip (Margie) of Pennsylvania, and William Heaslip of North Carolina. In addition to her children, she leaves six grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and one great greatgrandchild.
After high school, Blennie graduated from Excelsior School of Business and always worked as a secretary, retiring as secretary to the district manager of Kroeger, Melbourne, FL.
A Memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel, 118 College Ave. Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rutherford County Senior Center, 193 Callahan Koon Road, Spindale, NC 28160 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
