Obituary for Betty Sue Earley (Davis)
Betty Sue Davis Earley, 86, formerly of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Preston House in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Max and Lucy Melton Davis. She was a retired textile office manager, a member of Kistler’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and was active in the Senior Center.
Left to cherish her memories are her stepson, Tim Early and wife Diane of Charlotte; stepdaughter Leigh Ann Early Self and husband Cecil of Lawndale; grandchildren, Will Early, Regan Early, Drew Self, Jake Self, and Abby Self; nephews, Brian Davis, Philip Davis, Jason Randall, Stephen Randall; niece, Dr. Maria Gill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. Eugene Early, brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Davis, and nephew Max Davis.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Kistler’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
