Betty Jean Hutchins Anderson, 87, of Spindale, NC transitioned peacefully into her Heavenly home on May 18, 2021 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center. Betty was the daughter of the late Earl Hutchins and Roxanne Bradford. Betty was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Hutchins, sister Ruby Pope and widow to her husband William Anderson. She was a member of Westminster Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are Peggy Bumgarner; Lynn Causby (Roger), Nikki Vickers (David), Catina Womack (Eric) and Rusty McMellion (Elaine); six grandchildren, Ryan McDaniel (Laura), Justin Yelton, Casey Harper (Jerry), Jessica Vickers, Chad Atkins, Jessica Atkins; eight greatgrandchildren with one on the way, a special niece Waynette Wells, and also her fur baby Sam that spent many days taking walks with her and spending time sitting on the porch.

Betty worked at Stonecutter Mill for forty years before retiring. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, talking on the phone with friends Jackie Hoffman and Frank Self, listening to bluegrass music and going to the Senior Center.

Thanks to a few special neighbors Johnny, Tammy, Derrick, Misty and Carol. Special Thanks to Amanda at Hospice, Emily Drummond and Michael Tessnear at Oak Grove for the special attention shown to our Nanny.

Graveside services will be held 11AM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Cane Creek Baptist Church with Chester Waters officiating.
The family will be at the home, 276 Nebraska Street, Spindale, NC.
