Obituary for Barbara Jane Robbins (Wisnoski)

Barbara Jane Wisnoski Robbins 85 passed away on March 19, 2021at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home. She was born in Houston, TX and was the daughter of late Tony and Frances Wisnoski. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband William Glen Robbins.
Barbara was a devout Catholic always finding a way to serve in her community. While living in Houston, TX she volunteered at Sharpstown Hospital for a number of years. Barbara then became active with Meals on Wheels after moving to North Carolina. She volunteered with that organization for eight years in Mitchell County and six years in Rutherford County. She was also an active part of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church’s Soup Kitchen for a number of years.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sabrina Collier and husband Kevin, granddaughters, Melissa Williams, Kristin Fain and Susan Collier. Barbara also has one great granddaughter, Adley Fain.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 12 PM at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 1024 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043 with Father Herbert Burke and Deacon Andy Cilone officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the cemetery of Holly Springs Baptist Church 1541 Harris- Holly Springs Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336 Forest City NC 28043.
