Barbara Jane Searcy Nanney, age 81, formerly of Union Mills, NC was called to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 while being cared for at Brookdale Assisted Living Center.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Albert “Jack” Nanney, parents John Robert Searcy, Sr. & Virginia Kathleen Underwood Searcy, grandson Chase McKinney, granddaughter Brittany Nanney, two brothers, John Robert Searcy, Jr. and David Milton Searcy.
She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a graduate of The Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing.
She is survived by five daughters Jackie & Randy Wallace, Natalie & Leonard Archer, Kaye & Mark McKinney, Stacey Moulin, and Merri Nanney; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a number of other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery 6611 Hudlow Road, Union Mills NC 28167 with Rev. Mike Jones officiating . Masks and social distancing are required for those attending the service.
