Barbara Ann Newton Dotson, 78, of Mill Spring, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2022 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Ninety Six, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grady Christopher and Agnes Cantrell Newton and was preceded in death by two brothers Alfred and Homer Newton. Barbara was a machine operator at Broyhill Furniture and a member of Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Roger Dotson; son, Wayman Dotson (Leslie); daughter, Cheryl Haynes (William); brothers, Stanley Newton and Christopher Newton; sisters Reba Hudgins, Jeanette Byrd; grandchildren Preston Haynes, Rachael Haynes-Wood ; greatgrandchild Jasper Wood.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, November 7, 2022 at Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Lake Lure with Rev. Ansel Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
