Obituary for Barbara Ann "Annie" Blackwell (Hodge)
Barbara Ann “Annie” Blackwell, age 81 passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Accordius Health at Rutherford, formerly White Oak Nursing Center. A native of Rutherford County, Annie was a retired C.N.A. and enjoyed many activities during her stay at White Oak especially bingo.
Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Tina Lail and husband John; one son, Gene Blackwell and wife Amy; five grandchildren, Ryan, Cameron, Savannah, Warren and Keri. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Maddox, Mallory , Aaron and Kahlan and a number of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Gertie Sims, step father LeRoy Sims who raised her and her father Charles Hodge.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Ken Linder officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City NC 28043. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
