Obituary for Arnold David Lovelace

Arnold David Lovelace, age 73 of Withrow Road passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he is a veteran of the U.S. Army and was awarded The Purple Heart for wounds received while serving in The Vietnam War.
Arnold was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church and a former member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Michael Dills; two daughters, Cindi Crowe, Vicki Marks and husband Brian; one sister, Debra Ware; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Alice Black Lovelace; one grandson, Josh Crowe; and one great grandson, Hunter Chance Price.
A celebration of Arnold’s life will be held 2 PM, Monday, October 4. 2021 at Smith Grove Baptist Church, 185 Horn Bottom Road, Forest City, NC 28043. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to The Rutherford County Veterans Council 303 Fairground Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
