Obituary for Alton Creed Burns

Alton Creed Burns, age 66 of Ferry Road passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 while being cared for at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Creed and Lassie Burns. He was also preceded in death by his son, Aaron Creed Burns and a sister, Joan Shelton.
Alton is survived by his wife Judy Dimsdale Burns of the home; one daughter, Crystal Dawn Burns; siblings, Jim Griffin, Hal Guffey, Janet Metzger, Joyce Scronce and Darlene. He is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel, 118 College Ave., Rutherfordton, NC 28139. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Alton’s honor can be made to the charity of your choice.
