Obituary for Alice Harmon (Brackett)
Rutherfordton, NC
Alice Brackett Harmon, age 98 passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Oakland Living Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was a retired seamstress for Tanner Company and was a member of Spindale United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Glen Harmon and his wife Lisa of Rutherfordton, NC; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Julius Washington Brackett and Laura Maude Thompson Brackett; her husband Flay Harmon; their daughter Brenda Fowler; as well as a number of siblings.
The family would like to extend a special note of thanks to the staff of Oakland Living Center for the love and care shown Alice during her stay.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Alice will be laid to rest at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spencer Baptist Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com. Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the family of Alice Harmon.
