Judy Ann Lovelace Crawford, age 66, of 165 Lane Rd. Rutherfordton passed away Saturday at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Judy was a native of Rutherford County, wife of Donald R. Crawford of the home and daughter of Martha Flack Lovelace of Union Mills and the late William Charles “Shorty” Lovelace. Judy was also preceded in death by her son Matt Crawford. She was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church, a certified nurse’s assistant and an avid UNC Tarheel fan.
In addition to her husband Donald and mother Martha, Judy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Missy Crawford Rhoads (Jon) of Union Mills; grandchildren Ryan Pilgrim of Taylors, SC, Aryanna and Emilie Rhoads of Union Mills; sister Debbie Crawford (Alvin) of Ellenboro and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday July 18 at Piney Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Brown and Rev. Rick Wall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday July 17 at Piney Knob Baptist Church.
