Obituary for Don Fauntleroy Doggett

Don Fauntleroy  Doggett
Don Fauntleroy Doggett, 93, of Marion, NC passed away Friday, August 31, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Della Vickers Doggett. He was a carpenter and a 32nd Degree Mason. Don was a US Army veteran of WWII and a POW. He was loved as if a member of First Baptist Church of Marion.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Juanita Doggett and Margaret Stevens and husband Randy; grandson Jamie Stevens and wife Kasey; great granddaughter Lillie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys B. Doggett and brothers, Spence Doggett and Walton Doggett.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1565 Oakland Road, Forest City, NC with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM at Crowe’s Mortuary, 118 College Avenue Rutherfordton.

Flowers are welcomed and contributions are requested to McDowell County Chamber of Commerce LINC High School Scholarship Fund, First Baptist Church of Marion Bus Fund, or Grace Community Church Building Fund.
