Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sally Queen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Sally Louise  Queen
Sally Louise Goode Queen, 91, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Oak Grove Health Care Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late James Elbert and Lillie Walker Goode. She retired as the custodian for Southern Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Martha Norton of Morganton; grandchildren, Angie Biggerstaff and husband David of Rutherfordton, Scott McDougal and wife Jan of Morganton, Michael McDougal of Morganton, and Jill Hutchins and husband Johnny of Bristol, VA; six great grandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.P. Queen and daughter Sylvia Freeman.

A celebration of Sally’s life will be held 11AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Southern Baptist Church with Rev. John Perry officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Baptist Church, 140 Church Street, Rutherfordton or Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
